What it does
Players join with different PCs and different preferences. F5 Boost gives them an in-game menu to adjust rendering, save their settings and share a profile with friends. It runs without a framework, so you can use it on ESX, QBCore, Qbox or a custom server.
- Choose a graphics preset or adjust shadows, object detail, characters and vehicles separately.
- Control effects such as reflections, rain, blood stains, fire and ambient scenarios.
- Save named profiles and switch between them without rebuilding your settings each time.
- Export a share code so another player can apply the same settings.
What you’ll need
F5 Boost is standalone. Saved profiles use MySQL or MariaDB through oxmysql, mysql-async or ghmattimysql. Start your database resource first; the profiles table is created automatically.
Installing F5 Boost
Add f5_boost to your resources and server.cfg, then choose the keybind and options in config.lua. The default menu key is F7. Test the rendering options alongside your weather and population scripts. Frame rate gains depend on the player’s hardware, settings and the rest of your server.
